So far, tickets can be purchased: round-trip Helsinki-Vuokatti-Helsinki, one-way Helsinki-Vuokatti or Vuokatti-Helsinki. You can get on board from the intermediate station depending on the booking situation. The information is updated on Reissujuna’s website closer to departure.

During the trip you will have the opportunity to dine at the restaurant car with quality meals and drinks. Don’t forget that you can take a larger luggage with you, as there is plenty of space in the freight car.

During the trip, we will hear two solo gigs from Viitasen Piia, who is going to lift the moods to the ceiling!
Piia Viitanen is the lead character of the Finnish folk band Viitasen Piia and works as a singer-songwriter.
The band’s music style has been described for instance as organic folk, where strong Finnish lyrics are combined with American, country and folk genres. The themes of the songs repeat man’s relationship with nature, other people and himself, as well as Finnish poetry.
In September 2019, the band released their fourth album, ”Meidän jälkeemme hiljaisuus”.

Sotkamo-Vuokatti is undoubtedly one of the most beautiful places in Finland, which lacks a train connection. Reissujuna’s train offers the missing connection and implements the first adventure train journey at Easter 2021, with the aim of creating a recurring connection to Sotkamo-Vuokatti.
Vuokatti’s tourist services have a high standard all year around. The area has great opportunities for winter sports as well as stunning landscapes. Sotkamo was chosen as the tourist attraction of the year 2019 and Vuokatti was chosen in 2020 as the ski resort of the year. In summer, Sotkamo is home to the legendary Kainuu Riviera, or Hiukka Beach, which is several kilometers long and ideal for the whole family.
