Join a summer trip on the adventure train
Suomen Elämysjunat Oy produces experiential train journeys across Finland and around special themes and events. In summer 2021, we set off on an adventure train that is sure to appeal to every Moomin friend, journeying from Helsinki to Naantali’s Moomin World. Adventure trains with the Moomins will become a part of Reissujuna’s regular themed travel offerings. Our first ever journey will launch on August 7, 2021, from Helsinki to Naantali and back.
In future, a second route will run from Helsinki to Turku, continuing to Naantali’s Moomin World, with an intermediate stop in Salo to visit the Muurla factory for a quick shopping tour. During the stop, there will be entertaining Moomin-themed activities for those who wish to stay on the train.
Programme
During the journey, the catering trolley will serve delicacies familiar from the Moomins, such as Moominmamma’s famous lunch basket; pancakes with jam, berry juice and tea. The restaurant carriage offers a wider selection than just the Moomins’ spruce needle soup, providing exclusive meals and small snacks.
As usual on Reissujuna services, music will form an important part of the adventure train journey. A play carriage, a quiet carriage, natural material-based craft workshops and Moomin products sold exclusively on the train will make the trip a memorable one both for the younger Moomin lovers and hard-core international fans!

The inaugural trip Helsinki – Naantali – Helsinki will run on Saturday, August 7, 2021.
